Patience, common sense, and a little luck..sometimes a lot of luck. Know when to pick your spots to bluff.

A good poker face, and bluffing skills. Nowadays they are trying to tell you that it's not about chance. I personally think that chance has a lot to do with it for us normal people, but those who really excel at poker cultivate and practice bluffing maneuvers.

"a life" said it all. Once you have discipline, skill, and patience, the secondary things like bluffing, betting patterns, traps, reads, etc will come later.
