Start off with a couple of pretty gay ones then like build up and trade away your gay cards for good ones [its the BEST strategy ever]

Its really a matter of personal choice. Would you want strong monsters? Monsters that can be easily summoned? Monsters with strong effects? Do you want to deal effect damage? Direct damage? Here are a few deck ideas:

prabably a wizards deck there really good 4 beginers (and there yugis cards 2) or a reptile deck perhaps i started with dinos but thats just me : )

theres ALOT of different decks and each have their strengths and weaknesses. i think the most used decks now are monarchs, chimeratech otk, err gadgets, dark armed dragon, and maybe control decks. they mainly focus on either field/hand control. i currently use a cyberdragon otk focusing on the original cybers and chimeratech, a very decent deck thats very fun to play. i also use a dark deck focused on the viruses. yes i have crush card

well i started pretty n00bish in thiis game using a ojama deck(2001),then a dragon deck(2002),then a fiend deck(2004),then dino deck(2007),and a revival deck(2007).currently im using a beatdown deck
so what im trying to say is try building decks then find out what you want hope it helps
