the only thing you can win is free fries and I don't like them...wish I could win free salads and chicken wraps--those are good...I'm sure there is only one big winner each time they have a Monopoly game

Well it's not really fake persay. It's complicated. They only release the complete set of two or three in one area of the US, so if you don't travel you have little to no chance of winning. Still I like playing, even if I know I can't win anyway. I usually give away my pieces to people who can win.

Well, when you go to McDonald's all that healthy food which is the worst food in the world, should have told you something.

A few years back or so the game was tainted when an employee took the winning tickets.

well... i live in MI and the first Monopoly game they had, about ten years ago, the grand prize was one million $. a lady in Auburn won and they would not give her the prize because her daughter worked at the store. The lady bought meals all over not just the store her daughter worked at.

yeah..i think so. i wonder how many winning tags they have on cups and fry containers. i bet the cup or fry container probably end up on the floor of mcdonalds and thrown into the trash.

It's not fake. It's just a lame way of trying to raise their profits. The more you buy, the better your chances of winning something and then their profit goes up.

there are lots of people that don't play and just throw the game pieces away. they inevitably are the ones that get the rare pieces needed to win big.

It's a nice way to get people to buy from your local McDonald's, but it is real. A corporation of that size can't afford to lie to it's customer or the Federal Government. It is cheaper to be real than lie.

i thought it was fake at first until i played the online game nd won a $200 american express gift card last year..it takes about 2-3 months to receive it tho but i guess its worth the wait..free money right? haha its not fake its just harrrd =] if u do win certain prizes thru the online version keep your pieces because you'll be required to send the piece to the redemption center. goodluck

It's not fake or a scam, but the odds of winning the bigger prizes are fairly small. The catch with the collect to win game is that each set has one rare piece. There are millions of each of the common pieces, but only a very small number of the rare pieces.
The rare pieces are Meditteranean (15,000), Short Line (1500), Vermont (250), Virginia (250), Tennessee (50), Kentucky (30), Ventnor (5), Pennsylvania (5), and Boardwalk (3). The easy way to remember them is that all except Boardwalk are alphabetically the last in their set. |

I think so too. Like, I always get 2 out 2 pieces from every color, but that 3rd piece never shows up. Or if I get Park Place I NEVER find Boardwalk. It's just real lame. I still eat there, but I never get my hopes on maybe winning something cause that last lucky piece probably doesn't exist.
